Bessan's art is made from images of her home and life in Gaza prior to October 2023. She uses the photo memories of her beautiful life and alters them digitally to make bright joyful art. The original photo used to create this art was of a Tatreez embroidered dress made by Bessan's grandmother in 1970 and gifted to her.
